DECEMBER 16,2024 --


The National Film Registration Board of the Library of Congress has included UPTOWN SATURDAY Night, for which I wrote the screenplay, among the 25 films it has added to the National Film Registry for 2024.


OCTOBER 28, 2024 --


I received the 2024 Legacy Playwrights initiative Award from the The Dramatists Guild Foundation for my contributions to the American Theater during my career.


MARCH 21, 2024 --


I was the recipient of the "inaugural" Howard University Department of Theater Arts Legacy Award.
